The ACM Student Chapter at SRM University AP gives students a place to learn, build projects, attend technical events, and meet others who are interested in computing.
Learn, build and work with other students.
The ACM Student Chapter at SRM University AP is run by students who enjoy technology and want to learn outside the classroom. The chapter is a place to meet people with similar interests, work on projects, share ideas and take part in technical activities.
During the year, we organize workshops, hackathons, technical sessions, competitions and other events. These activities give students a chance to practice what they learn and try areas of computing they may not have explored before.
If you enjoy coding, problem solving, design, research or simply want to get involved with the student community, you can find a place here.

The ACM Winter School 2024 was organised by the Department of Computer Science at SRM University AP. The two-week programme focused on explainable and robust artificial intelligence and brought together participants from 22 institutions across India, including IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Hyderabad. Sessions included lectures, tutorials, practical work and discussions with the invited speakers.
ACM India's Research Opportunities in Computer Science (ROCS) introduced undergraduate and postgraduate students to research areas in computing. The programme included talks, tutorials and interactive sessions led by researchers, academics and industry professionals. It also gave students an opportunity to learn about research pathways and connect with people working in different areas of computer science.
The ACM Student Chapter at SRM University AP was inaugurated on January 31, 2026. The first academic programme was LinkUp Coding, a full-day bootcamp on C programming and linked lists. More than 250 students took part, including many first-year students and students from different disciplines. The sessions moved from C programming basics to linked-list implementation through coding exercises and guided problem solving.
